We encourage grieving families to contact us now to begin planning their future memorial. With the bulk of the planning in place, this will increase the chances of families being able to hold their memorials at their preferred time as restrictions are lifted.
At that time, we will follow the evolving guidelines on both the number of people allowed to gather and safety measures of social distancing and sanitization.
Planning now offers the emotional benefit of connecting the grieving with family and friends as they collaborate on therapeutic planning activities such as gathering photos for slideshows and writing eulogies and remembrances. It provides hope to honor our loved ones by looking towards the future
If restrictions continue and as we are informed on the number of gatherings allowed, we will offer staggered invitation times to allow for more guests to be received in a set time period.
We will offer to connect our families with venues that can offer multiple rooms to facilitate broadcasting of services that include a ceremony and/or eulogies..
We will continue to offer custom memorial tables and beautiful environments that reflect the person who has passed away.
To share this, we will be encouraging videography services to capture and share memories as well as introducing an updated live streaming service.
Our venue partners have prepared measures to adapt to continued restrictions such as reducing guest counts, fewer guests per table and plated food delivered to guests as opposed to buffets.
Our caterers will be preparing, handling and delivering food with the highest safety standards.
Celebrations of Life Toronto and our venue partners will be diligently maintaining the sanitation and cleanliness of the areas and ensuring everyone's safety to the best of our ability. We will clearly post notices in the space on the most up to date guidelines on social distancing.
Our creative element partners such as flowers, draping and décor, and memorial products are all in place to move forward. All paying strict adherence to the province’s guidelines.
To reiterate, our ability to hold and conduct celebrations of life and memorials hinges on the province’s updated announcements as it relates to the re-opening of venue spaces, and the number of people allowed to gather. This will extend to the number of people allowed to gather in any space such as a home event.
We will provide an updated notice on processes and protocols moving forward as the next provincial stage 2 unfolds between May 18th to June 1st.
Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions.
